Entrepreneurship as a career in Pakistan is not so common yet, people are more afraid to follow their hearts and starting their own businesses. In fact, they prefer to take a job, settle down to make life easier for the rest of their lives. It’s also hard for them to switch jobs, they are afraid if they left the current job, who know we get the next? So, they stick with it and choose to go with the flow.

At the age of 60 when they retire and take some time to think about their life-spent. They kind-of realise the situation, that they have spent their lives to fulfil other people’s dreams. It really happens, believe it or not. It’s a trap, Robert Kiyosaki calls it a “Rat Race” in his top-selling book “Rich Dad Poor Dad“.

“I wish that I have followed my dreams and built a business”

So they spend reset of their life in a regret. They do not have enough money to start something now, not as energetic as they were in their thirties or forties.

“A lot of people would not reach to that point, because they are satisfied with their life, they have a house, family, kids, and spending a limited life. They are completely okay with that”

I am well settled, I have a job, I have a house and a car…

They think we have everything, nice family, have fun, save some money, once you discover one simple fact that everything around you that you call life was made up by people, they were no smarter than you. That is a very limited life, life is much broader than that. Listen what Steve Jobs says…

It all about what you learn, what they teach you, your schools and people around you. They do not teach you the right things, they teach you how to become a good employee, not an employer.

If you want to change your life, change now, start thinking outside the box. There are so much opportunities out there, just have a leap of faith.

Entrepreneurship is all about that, finding opportunities and create new thing that other people can use. It’s not simple, you need to learn to adopt some habits, see below…

Do not afraid to fail

Failure is part of life, try to fail early in your life. How a baby learns to walk? He fails, tries again, fails and tries again and so on. He falls many time, an d then he walks. This is exactly how it works in real life, you fail. So do not afraid to fail. Use your failures as lessons.

Learn to say ‘NO’

A lot of people do not know how to say no, and they already know that what we’re going to do now is not useful, it’s just killing time. But still they are doing, why? Because they are afraid, what their friends would say, what other people would say…

Learn how you can simply skip the things that doesn’t relate to your purpose and your goals. When you learn that, your path is clear and it is more easy for you to achieve your goals.

Do not compare yourself with others

The biggest mistake most people make is that they compare themselves with other people. Just remember that you are different, be yourself and stop acting.

Make your own identity

Think about yourself, who are you? What are you passions and then follow that. If you haven’t found it yet then keep looking.

And when you do, people would follow you.
